Theatre Royal Drury Lane Seating Guide

The Theatre Royal on Drury Lane is one of London’s oldest and most famous theatres. Since opening in 1663 the theatre has provided top end popular entertainment and has been visited by each monarch on numerous occasions. Today the theatre is renowned for hosting popular long running musicals, and is one of the most visited theatres in the West End.

The auditorium seats well over two thousand people and is divided into four levels including a number of side boxes. Pricing varies phenomenally throughout the theatre, but on the whole visibility remains largely unobstructed. Due to the sheer size of the theatre it is possible to feel distant from the stage in the back half of all sections, but as the stage itself is 22 metres deep, Seat Plan enjoys sitting further back in order to take everything in.

Big Budget Tip

For a unique experience why not try sitting in one of the many boxes the theatre has to offer. Although sightlines in each box vary depending on their location, the intimate experience will be similar whichever one you choose. After all, if it good enough for Royalty….

Best Value Tip

Seats in the Balcony at this theatre are always the cheapest and often the best value for money. Sitting near the front centre provides an excellent unobstructed view of the stage that allows you to absorb the atmosphere of this amazing venue.
