Lyceum Theatre Seating Guide

The Lyceum Theatre, which is situated just off the Strand in London’s West End is one of London’s most beautiful theatres both inside and out. The theatre has escaped demolition many times and was used as a ballroom after the Second World War for many years. The theatre now plays host to long running musicals and is currently home to Walt Disney’s The Lion King where it has been entertaining packed audiences since 1999.

Seating in the Lyceum is exceptional. Despite being one of the largest auditoriums in London the theatre feels relaxed and comfortable, and provides audiences with excellent views throughout all three tiers. The proscenium is elegantly framed and the slight apron with steps over the orchestra pit help the auditorium feel connected with the action at all times.

Big Budget Tip

Some of the best seats are in the front section of the stalls. Try to get a seat next to an aisle so you have the best view of the opening number. Sitting House Left will allow you to see one of the best animals close up as it brushes straight past you.

Best Value Tip

The Stalls boxes are a fun place to sit and are slightly raised from the rest of the section. They are usually cheaper than other stalls seats and are perfect for children who want to see the action up close.

Shows at the Lyceum Theatre

The Lion King: London
(Showing from 16 Sep 2014 until 29 Mar 2015)

The classic Disney film The Lion King comes to life in this stage spectacular using life-size puppets to create the African savanna. The incredible opening number processes through the Stalls so central seats in this section will give you a great view.
