Get ready to fight the witches in this spellbinding, mischievous new musical, based on Roald Dahl’s children’s book. Best for age 8+

The Witches Musical Tickets: Rip-roaring Family Fun

What do you know about witches? Is it their pointy hats, black cats and broomsticks? Forget all of that and discover the spellbinding world of Roald Dahl’s The Witches, a new family musical flying onto the National Theatre’s Olivier Theatre stage this year.

What is The Witches about?

The witches have an evil plan and the only thing standing between them and victory is Luke and his Gran. But he’s only ten years old and she’s got a dodgy heart! As time runs out and danger lurks behind every corner, they only have one chance to stop children being squalloped and stomped out of existence…

Bursting with wit, humour, heart and magic, you will be completely swept up in an adventure as one little boy and his grandmother stand up for the wonderful, stinky, boisterous children of England.

Roald Dahl’s Classic Deliciously Adapted On Stage

The Witches musical is a fantastic new show based on Roald Dahl’s timeless children’s book. It is directed by Lyndsey Turner, and has a book and lyrics by Olivier Award-winner Lucy Kirkwood and lyrics and music by Tony Award-nominee Dave Malloy.

Dahl’s book is one of the most beloved stories for kids of all time, with a zany plot, memorable characters and an already-iconic film adaptation starring Anjelica Huston. If you have shivered with fright and these glamorous but scary witches, don’t miss the opportunity to see them re-imagined on stage!

Packed with songs, special effects and a story to thrill and delight, this is the best alternative Christmas show to take the whole family along to. If you loved Matilda, book now for this musical treat, that fizzes with mischief, adventure and creativity.

The cast includes Katherine Kingsley as the Grand High Witch, BAFTA Award-winner Daniel Rigby (Accidental Death of an Anarchist) as hotel manager Mr. Stringer, and Sally Ann Triplett (Oklahoma!) as Gran.
