Showstopper! The Improvised Musical Tickets
Dylan Emery and Adam Meggido bring their smash-hit Showstopper! The Improvised Musical to the Lyric Theatre, following a sell-out season at the Apollo Theatre and a previously acclaimed run at the Lyric earlier on this year. Each night, a completely new musical was created from scratch by seven quick-thinking improvisers.
The Showstoppers are an award-winning, improvising musical troupe, created by performers Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery. Regularly performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to sold-out audiences, the group tour extensively across the UK, with their successful run at the Apollo being their official London debut. With a BBC Radio 4 series, The Showstoppers are constantly wowing audiences with their quick-thinking skills and have received a 2016 Olivier Award nomination for ‘Best Entertainment & Family’.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical sees seven spectacular performers create an entirely original musical in the space of one evening. Using swift improvisational skills, the troupe, band and technical team muster up a musical from audience suggestions gathered by Narrator Dylan Emery. With hundreds of unique shows to their name, all of which include songs, dance routines and side-splitting gags, The Showstoppers offer an evening of one-off entertainment that has been delighting audiences and critics alike.
Each performance features seven diverse actors and comedians selected at random from a group of eleven, including Emery and Meggido, Ruth Bratt, Pippa Evans, Susan Harrison, Sean McCann, Phillip Pellew, Adam Pugsley, Oliver Senton, Lucy Trodd and Sarah-Louise Young. The Showstoppers technical team includes Musical Director Duncan Walsh Atkins, alongside lighting and sound team Tim Mascall and Tom Lishman, who also have to keep on their improvising toes! With a variety of talented performers guaranteeing a night of hilarious and impressive entertainment, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is not to be missed.
