Jim Steinman’s award-winning, smash-hit musical Bat Out Of Hell returns to the London stage for a brand new run at the Dominion Theatre! A new musical directed by the award-winning Jay Scheib, the show received its West End premiere at the London Coliseum in summer 2017, following a world premiere at Manchester’s Opera House in February 2017. Based on Meat Loaf’s 1977 concept album of the same name, the rock ‘n’ roll, romantic adventure features a back catalogue of the legendary singer’s best songs.

Originally premiering at Manchester’s Opera House, the five-star musical has received wide acclaim from audiences and critics alike, swiping the Evening Standard Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical.
Based on Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s classic 1977 collaborative album of the same name, Bat Out Of Hell takes place in a dystopian world, following the central character Strat, who has fallen madly in love with Raven; the daughter of the tyrannical Falco. A romantic adventure about youth, rebellion and passionate love, set against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic city, the musical is a wild adventure that is guaranteed to capture your heart.
A rock ‘n’ roll adventure pumped full of energy, the musical tears through over 20 classic Meat Loaf hits, including “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”, “I’d Do Anything for Love… (But I Won’t Do That)”, “You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)”, “Bat Out Of Hell”, “Dead Ringer For Love” and “Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad”, plus many more.
Bat Out Of Hell originally started in 1974 as a futuristic workshop musical called Neverland, which was loosely based on Peter Pan. First performed at the Kennedy Center Music Theatre Lab three years later, Meat Loaf heard the songs and thought they should be recorded as his next album. The record went on to sell a total of 43 million copies worldwide.
Casting includes returning members Andrew Polec as Strat and Christina Bennington as Raven, as well as Rob Fowler as Falco, Sharon Sexton as Sloane, Danielle Steers as Zahara, Giovanni Spanó as Ledoux and Patrick Sullivan as Blake, as well as Alex Thomas-Smith as Tink and Wayne Robinson as Jagwire.
Ensemble members include Emily Benjamin, Georgia Carling, Natalie Chua, Jonathan Cordin, Hannah Ducharme, Isaac Edwards, Aston Newman Hannington, Eve Norris and Courtney Stapleton, alongside Kyle Anthony, Christopher Cameron, Rob Copeland, Collette Guitart, Eric Hallengren, Vicki Manser, Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky, Joseph Peacock, Kyle Roberts, Craig Ryder, Dawnita Smith, Julie Stark, Charlotte Anne Steen and Sam Toland.
