Dress Circle Guide

The Dress Circle is shallow and narrow, as the whole section wraps around the stage. The section is placed right at the back of the Stalls, and can feel quite far away from the action. The section is well raked throughout meaning that views are good from the central section. The first and last 4 or 5 seats from rows A-E are labelled as restricted due to the pillars in the way, and offer a 'partial view' of the stage. Row C is the most badly affected row, with seats 26-32 affected as well as seats 5-8.

There are 40 seats along the side of the Dress Circle that curve along the balcony and face across the stage. The seats are angled in most places, and it is possible to lean on the bar in front to get a better view. The top row of seats sits above the lower one, meaning that no one's views are obstructed by other audience members. Better seats are towards the centre of the curve on both sides. The top row can be a little uncomfortable due to the size of the seats and the foot rests, and shorter audience members may not find them comfortable. For a reduced price these side seats are good value, although for the best value try to sit as centrally as possible on the front row.

Good view, slight obstruction from rail but no big deal. Good value.

Bought as restricted view as I don't find the safety rail an issue so it's usually a bargain. Full view of stage without any leaning forward or shuffling. Legroom good as end of row. Overall, I really like these seats!

This seat was a very good seat! Nice small theatre, so this seat gives you a great view of everything, without feeling you are on top of it all, or too far back. Great seat!

Almost perfect view of the stage. Slightly on the side to the stage. Leg room good.

Great seat, slightly to the side, and a very small bit of obstruction from a bar, but nothing terrible. Leg room good.

Awful view. You are sat next to a pole, and quite far back (due to excess leg room) so you have to lean un-naturally forward, to even see half the stage. You also feel very conscious of the person In the seat next to you, as you don't want to block their view either. Save the hassle of moving at the interval and pay a little more.

TERRIBLE view. Prices are much cheaper, but I would recommend paying a little more. Due to having allot of leg room, you are quite far back from the row in front, who also have to lean forward. Half the stage missing, but good leg room... I suppose you could stand... We were allowed to move seats at the interval.

This is the third last seat on the end of the right slips, this seat has a slight obstructed view of a barrier but it is not bad at all. There is again a good section of the stage missing unless you lean forward but it is not as bad as the last 2. This seat has a gap and a large pillar next to it so is handy if you have shopping with you or you can pop your coat and things down.

This is the second last seat on the right side of the slips, their is a barrer in view from this seat (a little less than the end seat but it is still in the way. Unless you sit forward from this seat there is a god section of the stage missing from view. However they are sold as restricted and are good value if you are on a budget. I have used the seats in this row many times but if you do not get on with restricted view these seats really are not for you.
